SLU Billikens

Went to see the SLU Billikens play college basketball at the Savvis Centre last night. Also saw them play last week as well. The Savvis is another indoor stadium with 19,000 seats. It is the home of the St Louis Blues ice hockey team (who I saw when I first arrived in the US) & is a muti-purpose venue with the hockey rink being covered for the basketball games & other events. Saw Aussiefloyd (a really good Pink Floyd tribute band - see their website auusiefloyd.com) there a couple of weeks ago & was lucky enough to get a ticket for the company executive box & so had a great view. Like American football, basketball has plenty of breaks & time-outs so a 40 minute game lasts about 2 hours!
