Bellagio

The Bellagio is a AAA 5-Diamond, 3,933 room/suite, luxury hotel owned by MGM Mirage which was constructed on the site of the demolished Dunes hotel & casino. This particular hotel is probably most famous for the dancing fountains (in the 9-acre artificial lake between the building & the Strip) that are synchronized to music & light. The fountain performance was one of our 'must see' things at Las Vegas & the shows take place every 30 minutes from mid-afternoon & throughout the evening (which we only found out after waiting 25 minutes for the 12:00pm show). You can see the fountains from numerous locations on the Strip, including at street level & surrounding buildings. We rushed back from The Venetian to see the 3:00pm show only for it to be cancelled due to 'technical' reasons :( We finally managed to see a short part of the show later in the evening when we got caught in the gridlock that surrounds the fountains when performances take place.
