Treasure Island

Treasure Island is a 2,665 room, 220 suite hotel & casino owned & operated by Phil Ruffin (he bought it in March 2009). It is connected to The Mirage by a tram & to the Fashion Show Mall shopping centre by a pedestrian bridge. The hotel used to be somewhat family friendly with nightly pirate shows in "Buccaneer Bay" in front of the casino entrance on the Strip. We made our way to see what we thought would be the first show only to find out that the shows didn't start until 7:00 pm. Unfortunately we didn't make it back but it probably wasn't such a bad thing since, apparently, the show was no longer family based (since the resort abandoned its 'family' pirate theme to create a contemporary, adult venue). Now the adult orientated 'Sirens of TIĀ®' show includes a battle between a group of beautiful, tempting sirens & band of renegade pirates. The pyrotechnics are meant to be good &, apparently, the pirate ship outside the resort is sunk during the show so it would probably have still been interesting to see.
