Cruising The Sunset Strip

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of The City of Sunset Hills (which is the next city east from Fenton), the city held an automotive weekend with a 'five-mile rolling cruise' on the Saturday night & a car show on the Sunday. The cruise route was 'circular', travelling up & down Lindbergh Boulevard through the city. Lindbergh is a fairly major, four-lane road (two-lanes in each direction, mostly without a central reservation), running generally north-south, just east of I-270. Rather than closing the entire road off for the cruise, the hot rods, street machines, custom cars, etc, were kept in the lane closest to the sidewalk so that the spectators could get a good look at the cars as they slowly drove by. This meant that I was able to drive alongside & past the modified vehicles on the cruise route & then park up to watch the cars travel back along the cruise route.
