The Stratosphere

The Stratosphere is a 2,444 room,tower, hotel, & casino owned by Whitehall Street Real Estate Funds (an affiliate of Goldman, Sachs & Co). The most striking feature of this resort is the 100+ storey, 1,149 ft tall Stratosphere Tower, which is the tallest free-standing observation tower in the US. It is the tallest free-standing structure in Nevada. As if the tower wasn't enough of an attraction, just to make it that little bit more interesting there are a few extra features for those that don't suffer with Vertigo!

• Observation Deck - An enclosed deck with views of Las Vegas
• Big Shot - Thrill ride which shoots passengers straight up another 160 feet on the top of the Tower at 45 mph.
• X-Scream - A giant teeter-totter ride that propels you 27 feet over the edge of the Tower.
• Insanity, the Ride - A huge mechanical arm which extends 64 feet over the edge of the Tower & then spins you with a force of 3G.
